Growing concern in the Catholic Church over the Pope's decision to rehabilitate a bishop who denies the Holocaust ever happened Vatican spokesmen have stressed that the pope's decision does not amount to an endorsement of Williamson's Holocaust denial - Some wonder whether the Pope was simply unaware of what Williamson had said. Benedict, they believe, was simply interested in bringing a group of disaffected traditionalists back into the fold. Time and time again, the pope has said he wants to reunite all forms of Christian worship under the umbrella of Rome.
